PILOT MOUNTAIN, NC ~ Mrs. Ruth Emma Marshall Ashburn Ingram King, age 78, of Pilot Mountain, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at her home. She was born June 22, 1934 in Stokes County, to the late Jerry Cornelius & Bessie Jane Joyce Marshall. Mrs. King was a homemaker and a member of Pinnacle View Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Mike Ashburn of Pilot Mountain, NC; sister, Ethel Crews of Pinnacle, NC; and brothers, Jimmy & wife Shirley Marshall of Pinnacle, NC, Glenn & wife Faye Marshall of King, NC and J.C. & wife Audrey Marshall of Pilot Mountain, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Ray Ashburn; second husband, Glenn Ingram; third husband, M.W. King; sisters, Myrtice Bowman, Rachel Collins & Kathleen Sowden and brothers, Ted, Junior and Gray Marshall. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Pinnacle View Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ronnie Chamberlain and Elder Rodney Marshall with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. King will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Howell-Nelson Funeral Service of Pilot Mountain is serving the family.
